How much does a card machine cost?
Square Terminal costs £149 + VAT, with hardware financing options available at checkout. You’ll pay just 1.75% fee per debit or credit card transaction and it will be deducted automatically, so you won’t be surprised by an unexpected bill at the end of the month. There are no hardware subscription fees or monthly costs. To connect Square Terminal to the internet via Ethernet, or to connect accessories such as a cash drawer, barcode scanner or additional printers, you can add an optional Hub for Square Terminal for £39.00 + VAT.
What’s the difference between Square Terminal and Square Handheld?
Square Terminal is a complete POS solution with a built-in receipt printer, designed to work best from a countertop, while still being compact and easily moveable.
Square Handheld is a slim, portable device with a built-in camera and barcode scanner, designed to take payments, orders, or manage inventory on the move – all from one POS that fits in your pocket.
Does Square Terminal need Wi-Fi?
Square Terminal requires an internet connection. Connect Square Terminal to the internet through a Wi-Fi network or Ethernet connection. No Wi-Fi? You can use offline payments1 to keep taking payments for up to 24 hours. Additional terms apply.
What accessories can I use with Square Terminal?
Square Terminal can do even more for your business when you connect the right accessories. With a countertop mount, you can secure Square Terminal and make checkout even more seamless. You can also add a barcode scanner or cash drawer to customise your counter – you just need the optional Hub for Square Terminal.
